The Sealer of County Weights & Measures enforces laws and regulations pertaining to the accuracy of weighing and measuring devises. Work is performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Pennsylvania State Bureau of Standard Weights & Measures and includes inspections, tests and certification of scales, volumetric containers, yardage gauges, gasoline meters, and related measuring devices and the condemnation of such devices. Generally, this work is conducted within Lebanon County, but may extend outside the boundaries as necessary.
On April 30, 2004, the Lebanon County Commissioners discontinued the position of Sealer of Weights & Measures.
